Justin Enrico Legaspi is a Filipino-Australian artist, writer and youth advocate based in Werribee.
Legaspi’s practice is post-medium and auto-ethnographic in nature. He draws from his experiences growing up in Australia, at times intersecting with his interests in internet and consumer culture. His work explores the ephemerality of memory, place, identity and aspiration, both within and beyond these boundaries.
Legaspi is currently a resident artist at The Substation and works as an Associate Journalist at Good News West, YLab.
He has exhibited and screened locally and nationally at Wyndham Art Gallery, Yarilla Arts and Museum, Fortyfivedownstairs, Bowery Theatre, Louis Joel Gallery, Oddany Gallery, Woods Street Arts Space and Mixed Zoning. In 2025, he was awarded the Acquisitive Prize at the Still: National Still Life Award for his photogrammetric series Bahay (House) and was a finalist in the Emerging Artist Award at Fortyfivedownstairs for his video installation untitled (billboard). His work is held in the collections of Yarilla Arts and Museum as well as in private collections.
